TROPPO'S AWESOME FISHING PACKAGE STAYING AT BEAUTIFUL LE VASA RESORT

Le Vasa Resort is situated on the most westerly tip of our main island Upolu. The resort overlooks the islands of Manono and Apolima and looks strait at the big island of Savii. It sits at the edge of The Apolima Strait which is the body of water separating Samoas two largest islands Upolu and Savii. As you can imagine, the structure provided by these islands and the fast flowing body of water that divides them provides some of the best fishing Samoa has to offer. Large banks dotted with sea mouts run to the south for 11 miles until the first 1000 m drop off. The sea mounts are home to a large number of dogtooth tuna and wahoo. The banks provide serious action on sailfish and spanish mackerel while the drop offs and beyond are the best grounds we have for blue marlin, yellowfin tuna and mahi mahi. The resort sits right on the waters edge of a mighty lagoon, inside miles of fringing reef. Good popping for GT's and other reef species can be had all along this reef. Inside the reef you can nail big golden trevally and other toothy critters of the bank right in front of the resort. In some sections, you can even wade the lagoon casting fly's and plastics with the occasional permit and bonefish swallowing your lure.

OK.. Basically, myself and Soraya the owner of the resort both love fishing and have decided to put together an exclusive discounted deal for our anglers. Where the accom rate was AUD/NZ$275 per night for a twin room, for our anglers it will be discounted to AUD/NZ$200 per night or AUD/NZ$100 per angler (incl's a light breakfast). The only condition to this is that it is a minimum stay of 2 nights.. That's OK as most will want stay a minimum of 5 nights. Aussie anglers would mainly stay 8 night as there is a Friday night flight to Samoa from Sydney and a return flight the next Sunday.. Meaning you can stay a full week and be back into work the following Monday (average return flight is AUD$800) There are also flights from Brisbane. Kiwi Flights from Auckland are an average 30% cheaper

OK that;s all good.. The charter rate for our beautiful 35' Bertram FBC to fish out of the resort is usually AUD/NZ$1800 per day. In this deal we are discounting that to AUD/NZ$1500 with a minimum hire of 2 consecutive days. Everything is supplied bar alcohol..all fishing gear and tackle, snacks, lunch, bottled water and soft drinks. We know most anglers doing this sort of trip usually like to bring their favorite rod or two and that's cool. Especially Jig and Pop combo's and associated lures & tackle. So with that info it is pretty easy for our anglers to work out a trip that suits their fishing requirements and their budget.

For example:

2 anglers staying 5 days/5 nights (1000) & Fishing 3 days (4500) The total cost per angler will be AUD/NZ$2250

4 anglers staying 5 days/5 nights (2000) & Fishing 4 days (6000) The Total Cost per angler will be AUD/NZ$2000

6 anglers staying 8 days/8 nights (4800) & Fishing 5 days (7500) The Total Cost per angler will be AUD/NZ$2050

Doing between 3 and 5 days fishing aboard our 35" Bertram you will get a chance to target all the species I mentioned plus more.

It's all up to you..We will always advise as to whats on the chew, but ultimately whether you want to target blue marlin, yellofin tuna, GT's or doggies etc we are up for it.
